Meet Our Staff

We know with our level of service you will feel confident you have made the right choice for your orthodontic care and that you’ll be happy to recommend us to your family and friends.

 Ann, Business Manager

2009 marks my 30th year of working with Dr. Bert.  With 37 years of experience in dentistry, I’ve been x-ray certified for many years. Over this time I’ve had many duties with Dr. Bert.  These include Treatment Assistant, Patient Coordinator and Treatment Coordinator.  Currently, my duties include managing the finances, overseeing the office facilities and community outreach.

My family consists of Robert who is retired from the NC Dept. of Transportation. I am blessed with three adult children, Chris, Robbie and Heather and to be the proud grandmother of Robbie’s son Colton.

My hobbies include gardening and camping in our 32ft. camper at the lake and mountains along with our family and friends. We are members of the Franklin County Trailblazers and enjoy riding our horses on various trail rides. I also enjoy riding 4-wheelers with my kids.

As a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church I sing in the choir and present children’s sermons. I also have a passion for organizing fundraisers in the community and churches for those needing serious medical attention. Robert and I enjoy activities at the Louisburg Moose Lodge.

Betty, Treatment Coordinator

Hi! My name is Betty and 2009 marks my tenth rewarding year as Dr Bert’s Treatment Coordinator. Becoming involved with new patients and their treatment to help create beautiful, healthy smiles is quite exciting! I look forward to welcoming you to our practice and sharing smiles along the way!

Outside the practice I enjoy spending time with my husband Tom, son Jeramiah, and Willie, our Welsh Terrier. We are members of St. John’s Church in Wake Forest. As my son is an artist, we also enjoy our membership to the Raleigh Art Museum for exhibits and movies. I am also a member of Daughter’s of the American Revolution and an avid knitting enthusiast!

I am proud of being part of Dr. Bert’s fabulous orthodontic team and know you will feel the same way! Smiles!

June, Patient Coordinator

Hi! My name is June and I have had the wonderful opportunity to be involved with orthodontics for ten years, four of which have been as Dr. Bert’s Patient Coordinator. Meeting new families and watching the transformation of how our patients value their new healthy, beautiful smiles is so inspirational for me, as was the case when Dr. Bert completed my own daughter’s care.

When not dedicating my time to our patients I am quite active in my two daughters Madison and Megan’s activities at Saint Mary’s and The Magellan Charter School. My husband and I enjoy spending time together with our girls and Cola, our Shitzu (he could actually benefit a great deal from Dr. Bert’s expertise!). I also enjoy shopping, reading, and my volunteer work at the food bank.

I am grateful for being a part of helping to care for Dr. Bert’s patients

Angela, Patient Coordinator

Dr. Bert has given me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally working on our orthodontic team. This has been my first position in the field of dentistry/ orthodontics.

I have been married to Lou for 15 years and have two daughters. Akira Angel is 14 and will start High School in Louisburg this year and Caira Rose will be entering the 4th grade. I like swimming and relaxing at the ocean and enjoy volunteering at Safe Space and at Richland Creek Community Church where my family attends. I’m studying counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest.

I enjoy spending my afternoons with my teammates and the patients here at Dr. Bert’s!!!

Tamara, Lab and Imaging Coordinator

Hi! My name is Tamara, Dr. Bert’s “sensational” lab and Imaging Coordinator. I have been with Dr. Bert 17 years. I started my orthodontic career in 1977.

I have three wonderful boys, Nathan, Aaron, and Jordan.  Nathan is married and now lives in Georgia. Aaron is married and lives in Wake Forest and Jordan, my youngest is in his 3rd year at NCSU.

In my spare time I love to knit, work on crafts, sew, and take long walks with my husband, Marty of 31 years. I am very active at my church, Flat Rock Baptist. We live in Louisburg and LOVE the small town!

Debs, Clinical Coordinator

Hi! My name is Debs and I have been a part of Dr. Bert’s dynamic orthodontic team for six years as his Clinical Coordinator. I completed my dental assistant training in Baltimore and have been helping to create healthy smiles for twenty years!

Outside the practice I enjoy spending time with my husband Ken and our son, Kenny who you might just see sporting his very own practice tee-shirt, “personally” designed by Dr. Bert! We enjoy taking our two Labradors, Pearl and Jake, to our beach cottage at Carolina Beach. We search for sea glass for creating jewelry and appreciate what gift we have been given with our ever awe inspiring nature! I also restore antiques and use my given gift to draw and paint.

I am excited to have the opportunity to help Dr. Bert create healthy, beautiful smiles for you too!

Lisa, Clinical Assistant and Marketing Coordinator

I am excited to be a part of Dr. Bert’s Orthodontic team! I have been with Dr. Bert since December 2008, previously working in orthodontics and Pediatric dentistry for a total of 7 years. I so enjoy orthodontics and the effects it has on a person’s self-esteem!

My husband Jeff and I have three children (Alex, Madeline, and Christina) that attend NRCA.  Alex is currently under the care of Dr Bert and is excited about his smile transformation!  We also have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Cody that we spoil very much!! Besides loving to spend time with my family and taking them to their activities, I also enjoy working out, biking, gardening, and spending time with my friends. I volunteer at Meals on Wheels and teach Sunday School at my church.

I look forward to learning more about you and helping Dr. Bert perfect your SMILE!!!!!!!!
